SATURDAY: The TinCaps had their 3rd consecutive sellout at Parkview Field, but Fort Wayne was unable to win its 3rd in a row, suffering a 5-3 loss to the Lugnuts. Robbie Podorsky went 2-for-4 with an RBI to raise his batting average to .368 on the year.

260 TO THE SHOW: Today the Padres called up 2016 TinCaps right-handed reliever Trey Wingenter from Triple-A El Paso. Wingenter pitched in 8 games for the 'Caps in May of 2016, posting a 0.82 ERA across 11 innings with 14 strikeouts. Wingenter will become the 168th former Fort Wayne player to appear in the Major Leagues, and the 10th to debut this season. See the next page for the full list.

SHECKLER SINCE MAY: In April, Ben Sheckler, posted a 6.60 ERA in 6 appearances, but since the beginning of May, Sheckler has made 22 appearances, including 3 starts, holding a 2.40 ERA. Last time out on Monday @ Bowling Green, the 6-foot-8 lefty threw a season-high 5 innings (80 pitches), allowing 3 hits, 1 run, and 1 walk, while collecting 3 strikeouts.

ROSARIO ON THE RISE: Jeisson Rosario has reached base in 12 consecutive games. The 18-year-old had a solid first half of the season and has taken his game to a new level since the All-Star break. Rosario slashed

.269/.381/.322 in the first half, and in the second half is at .298/.388/.412.

ROBBIE'S RIDE: Since making his 2018 TinCaps debut on May 18, Robbie Podorsky has hit .368. In this time range, that's the highest batting average in all of Minor League Baseball (full season leagues).

SUWI 3: Friday was the first time in 82 games this season that Jack Suwinski batted 3rd. In 125 games last year he hit 3rd once. Suwinski is in the 3-hole again today for the 3rd consecutive game.

HEATING UP: Gabriel Arias is on a season-best 14-game on-base streak. Going back to July 19, the 18-year-old from Venezuela has a team-best .379 OBP and is 15-for-51 (.294) with 2 doubles, 2 HRs, 7 RBIs, 7 walks, and 8 runs.

LEAGUE LEADERS: Osvaldo Hernandez has the MWL's lowest ERA (1.92).... Aaron Leasher ranks 8th in ERA (3.32)... Jeisson Rosario is tied for 5th in runs (66), tied for 6th in OBP (.384), and 8th in walks (55) ... Esteury Ruiz is tied for 3rd in stolen bases (37)... Robbie Podorsky is 9th in SB (23).

IN CONTROL: TinCaps pitchers have walked the fewest batters in the Midwest League this season - 315 in 956.0 IP. That's only 3.0 BB/9. Fort Wayne also has the best ratio of strikeouts to walks (3.09/1).

HOME SWEET HOME: The TinCaps are 20-33 (.377) on the road this season compared to 31-26 (.544) at Parkview Field. At home, the team is batting .261 averaging 4.6 runs/game. On the road, the team is batting .223 with 3.7 R/G.

ON THE SHELF: The TinCaps currently have 4 key players on the Disabled List in catcher Luis Campusano (mild concussion), starting pitcher Mason Thompson (tricep strain), infielder Justin Lopez (broken left thumb), and outfielder Tirso Ornelas (right wrist).

PUTTING THE FORT IN FORTNITE: In advance of "Fortnite Night" at Parkview Field on Saturday, Aug. 11, on Thursday, TinCaps catcher/first baseman Jalen Washington and lefty reliever Fred Schlichtholz played Fortnite from the "TinCapsBaseball" account, interacting with friends from around the nation and even outside the country.
