LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps snapped a 3-game skid with a 4-2 win. Robert Gasser tossed 6 scoreless innings, while Corey Rosier, Jarryd Dale, and Lucas Dunn each delivered a 2-out RBI hit.

BIG CROWDS ON THE 4TH: The 5 largest crowds in Parkview Field's history have all come on the 4th of July, including a record of 9,508 in 2019 against Lake County.

BACK AT PARKVIEW FIELD: The Fort Wayne Philharmonic's Patriotic Pops concert is tonight. The event is free to the public with gates opening at 6:30pm and the show set for 8:30, concluding with fireworks.

RYAN BERGERT: For Midwest League pitchers who've thrown 50+ innings, ranks 9th in K/9 (11.6)... You could say he's been unlucky this year as opponents have a .348 BABIP against him - 6th highest out of 37 pitchers (an average BABIP is about .300).

MAX FERGUSON: Ranks 2nd in all of professional baseball in both walks (65) and stolen bases (52)... As far as walks go, Austin Gauthier with the Dodgers' Single-A affiliate, Rancho Cucamonga, has 66. Juan Soto of the Nats leads MLB with 65... Another Padres prospect, Esteury Ruiz, a 2018 TinCap, has 54 stolen bags between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A El Paso. The current MLB leader is Miami's Jon Berti with 25.

ROBERT HASSELL: Leads the MWL in average (.307), while ranking 3rd in hits (75), 5th in RBIs (43), 7th in stolen bases (19), and 8th in OBP (.376)... He's swung and missed at only 9% of pitches, 9th lowest rate in the MWL.

COREY ROSIER: Leads the MWL in runs (54), while ranking 4th in triples (5), and 5th in stolen bases (24) and walks (45; 15%)... He's swung and missed at only 8% of pitches, the 4th lowest rate in the league... 16-game on-base streak dating back to June 14.

CAUGHT 'EM: TinCaps catchers lead the league in throwing out runners trying to steal (29 CS). Individually, Brandon Valenzuela leads with 19, while Anthony Vilar has nabbed 8 of 20, and Adam Kerner has caught 2.

PATIENT: The TinCaps lead the MWL in walks drawn (4.3 per game) and also have struck out the 2nd fewest times in the MWL (8.5 per game).

MISCELLANEOUS: The TinCaps are 25-11 when scoring first (70% win rate) and 4-34 when they don't (10%)... Fort Wayne is 6-9 in 1-run games, 4-10 in 2-run games, and 0-2 in extra-innings.

260 TO THE SHOW: Since Fort Wayne's franchise was established in 1993, there have been 206 alumni who've gone on to appear in the major leagues, including 49 this season... Entering the week, Pirates outfielder Jack Suwinski (2017-18) leads MLB rookies in home runs (12), while MacKenzie Gore (2018, '21) ranks among rookies 4th in strikeouts (65)... AROUND THE ORG: The Padres' Single-A affiliate, the Lake Elsinore Storm, threw a no-hitter on Friday night at home against the Inland Empire 66ers (Angels), as they won, 15-0. Garrett Hawkins tossed 7 perfect innings, while Alan Mundo, despite hitting and walking a batter in the ninth, kept the Storm's first ever no-no intact.
