FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The TinCaps battled back from an early 2-0 deficit, tied the game in the bottom of the ninth and Jake Blackwood delivered a game-winning double in the tenth to beat the Bowling Green Hot Rods, 5-4.

Fort Wayne pulled the comeback against Hot Rods LHP Chris Rearick, who had not issued a walk, blown a save or taken a loss this season coming into the game.

Bowling Green jumped ahead in the top of the first when Cody Rogers reached on a leadoff error. Robby Price tripled to right-center to make it 1-0, then scored when Derek Dietrich reached on a bad-hop infield hit, doubling the deficit to 2-0.

The TinCaps tied it in the bottom of the fourth. Rymer Liriano bounced an RBI single to center, stole second, then scored all the way from second on a wild pitch on a swinging third strike, tying the game at 2-2.

Hector Guevara smacked a solo homer in the fifth to put the Hot Rods ahead, 3-2, but Liriano's sacrifice fly in the sixth tied the game again.

In the ninth, the Hot Rods scored the go-ahead run on an odd play. With Guevara at second and one out, Rogers hit a deep fly ball to left-center. Jose Dore made a running catch near the wall, then dropped the ball on the transfer, allowing Guevara to come around and score on the error, giving Bowling Green the lead.

The TinCaps tied it on a single by Emmanuel Quiles in the ninth, setting the stage for the tenth. Chris Bisson was hit by a Rearick pitch. Two batters later, Blackwood drilled a line drive over the center fielder's head for a double and Bisson raced home to score the winning run.

Fort Wayne RHP Adam Dominick (2-1) pitched two innings to grab the win; Rearick (0-1) took the loss.

Fort Wayne snapped its three game losing streak to improve to 13-20; Bowling Green lost its fourth in a row to fall to 17-15.

The TinCaps and Hot Rods (Class-A Tampa Bay Rays) continue the three-game series Wednesday at 11:05 a.m. Fort Wayne RHP Keyvius Sampson (5-1) gets the start against Bowling Green RHP Victor Mateo (3-2).
