
Timbers, Thorns FC Partner with StatsBomb

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Timbers and Thorns FC today announced a new partnership with StatsBomb, which will serve as the club's analytic insight platform.
The partnership with StatsBomb allows the club to take an innovative approach to data analytics. The platform will provide the Timbers and Thorns FC with the tools to remain competitive in key areas such as team and opposition analysis, scouting and recruitment, and player acquisition.
"We are incredibly excited to work with the Portland Timbers and Thorns as both clubs have a long-standing commitment to winning in their respective competitions" said StatsBomb Chief Commercial Officer Shergul Arshad. "The partnership will help them make data-driven decisions across key parts of the club and unlock new markets for recruiting players worldwide."
For the Timbers and Thorns FC, the partnership with StatsBomb is the first of its kind for the club. A leader in the space, StatsBomb covers over 80 football leagues around the world, capturing approximately 3,400 events per match.
