Medicine Hat, AB - The Medicine Hat Tigers shut the door on the Regina Pats 2-0 on Saturday night at the Canalta Centre.
Tigers goaltender Mads Søgaard stopped all 18 shots faced in the contest earning his fourth shutout of the season while helping the Tabbies sweep the Pats in this year's season series. On the other end of the ice, Pats netminder Donovan Buskey was kept busy by the Tigers who fired 40 shots on net during the game.
With less than five minutes remaining in the second stanza, Lukas Svejkovsky carried the puck up the ice and fired it past Buskey stick side to open the scoring. Svejkovsky's goal was his 18th of the season.
In the final frame on a play from Dylan Plouffe and James Hamblin, Corson Hopwo scored his 14th goal of the season to seal the 2-0 Tigers victory.
The Orange and Black are 37-19-2-1 and they will host the Swift Current Broncos on Tuesday night. Tickets for Tuesday's game can be purchased at the Canalta Centre Box Office or online.
After Tuesday's game, Dru Krebs, Cyle McNabb, Jonathan Brinkman, Svejkovsky and Ryan Chyzowski will all be available on the main concourse in front of the Tigers Souvenir to sign autographs.
