Medicine Hat, Alta. - The Regina Pats wrapped up the final game of their two game Alberta road trip with a 7-0 loss to the Medicine Hat Tigers on Saturday inside Co-Op Place.

The Tigers got goals from Andrew Basha (4G), Rhett Parsons Tomas Mrsic and Gavin McKenna (1G-1A), while Beckett Langkow made 17 saves for his first career shutout. Bogdans Hodass tallied three assists, and Oasiz Wiesblatt and Brendan Lee each grabbed two helpers, as the Tigers snapped their two-game skid.

THE GOALS

First Period

MH 0-1 at 17:49 - Rhett Parsons (5), assisted by Gavin McKenna and Brendan Lee // Parsons' shot from the top of the circle got through legs and past a screened Sim to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead late in the first period.

Second Period

MH 0-2 at 21 seconds - Andrew Basha (16), assisted by Bogdans Hodass // Basha's shot is stopped but the rebound ended up loose in front of the Pats net and Basha found his own rebound and put it past Sim to extend the Tigers lead to a pair at 2-0 early in the second.

MH 0-3 at 12:28 - Andrew Basha (17), assisted by Hunter St. Martin and Cayden Lindstrom // The Tigers entered the Pats zone with speed, Basha kept the puck and carried it to the front of the Pats net and was able to get the shot off and beat Sim to give the Tigers a 3-0 lead.

Third Period

MH 0-4 at 5:59 - Andrew Basha (18), assisted by Oasiz Wiesblatt and Bogdans Hodass // Wiesblatt dropped the puck to Basha who wired the puck past Sim for his first career hat-trick to extend the Tigers lead to 4-0.

MH 0-5 at 6:24 - Gavin McKenna (1), assisted by Brendan Lee and Dru Krebs // McKenna picked up the loose puck in the slot and fired home his first career goal to give the Tigers a 5-0 lead.

MH 0-6 at 18:24 - Tomas Mrsic (9), assisted by Owen MacNeil // MacNeil carried the puck along the left boards and fed the puck in front and Mrsic chipped it past Sim for a 6-0 lead.

MH 0-7 at 19:05 - Andrew Basha (19), assisted by Player and Player // From the left circle Basha beat Sim high to the glove to extend the lead to 7-0.

NOTES

The Pats were shut out for the third time on the season, the first time on the road, and the first time with both Stanislav Svozil and Connor Bedard in the line-up.

The 17 shots the Pats had on goal were the second-fewest shots on goal in a game this season (the lowest was 15 on December 17th, a 6-1 loss to Saskatoon).

The Pats have lost four straight contests after winning their previous six contests.
