
Pats Look to Bounce Back in Medicine Hat

Medicine Hat, Alta. - The Regina Pats end their mini two game Alberta road trip tonight at 7:00 p.m. (8:00 CST) inside co-op place against the Medicine Hat Tigers.
The final meeting between the Pats and Tigers tonight is a crucial one, as the Tigers are just five points back of the Pats for sixth in the Eastern conference standings. Both clubs have played 61 games this season.
The Pats are coming off a heart breaking 5-4 overtime loss to the Lethbridge Hurricanes on Friday inside the Enmax Centre as the club has dropped their last three games (0-2-1). On the bright side, the Pats gather a point and finish the season series 2-0-1-1 against the Hurricanes.
The Pats had a 3-1 lead after one and a 4-3 lead after two. Connor Bedard, Tanner Howe, Braxton Whitehead and Tye Spencer scored for the Pats, while Drew Sim made 34 saves and Zack Stringer picked up two assists against his former team. The final shots were 39-26 for the Hurricanes. The Pats went 3-6 on the power play and 5-6 on the penalty kill.
Meanwhile, the Medicine Hat Tigers are coming off a 2-0 loss to the the Brandon Wheat Kings on Wednesday inside Westoba Place. The final shots were 26-25 for Medicine Hat. Beckett Langkow made 23 saves in the loss. The Tigers finished 0-2 on the power play and 3-4 on the penalty kill.
The Tigers have now dropped their last two games as they previously fell 3-1 in Winnipeg. They've also lost four of their last six contests coming in since February 22 (23GF-25GA). Despite the recent performances, Tigers have won their last two home games and three of their last four home games.
