Jacksonville, FL - The Norfolk Tides (19-30) defeated the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp (27-22), 8-3, on Friday night from VyStar Ballpark. Norfolk strong offensive start leads to their first victory of the series.

Payton Eeles (3-5, HR, 4 RBI) homered in the top of the 3rd inning to open the strong lead for the Tides. Christian Encarnacion-Strand (2-5, 1 RBI) Opens the tides strong offensive start with a single bringing in Michael Siani. Creed Willems (1-4) singles on a line drive to right field allows Kjersad to score. Heston Kjertad (2-4) single bringing both Ryan Noda and Jud Fabian extending their lead to 8-3. Strong pitching from the Tides Bullpen (Nick Raquet, Cameron Foster, Andrew Magno) allowing zero runs after the 4th inning.
