Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release
Hamilton, Ontario - The Hamilton Tiger-Cats announced today that they have signed non-import defensive lineman Nautyn McKay-Loescher.
"Getting Nautyn signed was one of our top priorities in the free agent market," said general manager Marcel Desjardins. "We're very excited to add him to our roster. He's made big plays for a championship team and we expect him to make a significant impact with our franchise this season and for years to come."
McKay-Loescher, a 6-2, 260-pound native of Toronto has spent the past three seasons with B.C. after the Lions selected him in the second round (13th overall) of the 2004 CFL Canadian College Draft. In 36 career CFL games, the 25-year-old has recorded nine tackles, two special teams tackles, one fumble recovery and nine quarterback sacks.
Prior to turning pro, the Alabama product recorded 77 tackles (37 solos), 12.5 sacks, 18 tackles for losses of 123 yards, a fumble recovery, a forced fumble, and 5 pass deflections while starting 18 of 49 games for the Crimson Tide.
