Thursday's Game against the Legends Suspended

CHARLESTON, WV - Due to inclement weather in the Charleston area, tonight's West Virginia Power game against the Lexington Legends has been suspended in the top of the fourth inning, with runners at first and third for Lexington and no score. The game will resume tomorrow at 5:05 p.m., with Friday's regularly scheduled game set to follow the conclusion of this contest. Gates will open at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow.

Max Kranick was perfect through the first three innings for West Virginia, striking out six of the nine batters he faced. Meanwhile, Lexington starter Garrett Davila worked around two walks and a fielder's choice to hold the Power hitless through three frames as well.

Brewer Hicklen was able to reach to start the fourth inning after Kranick hit him with his first pitch of the frame. The next batter, MJ Melendez, singled to center while Hicklen advanced to third before the game was suspended due to rain.

Tonight's game will resume at 5:05 p.m. on Friday, July 6, with runners on first and third and nobody out in the top of the fourth inning. Friday's regularly scheduled game will take place following the conclusion of game one. Friday's scheduled contest will now be a seven-inning affair, while tonight's game will still take a full nine innings to complete.
