Washington, PA - The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, hit three homers but surrendered seven on the way to a 22-7 loss in game two of their series against the Windy City Thunderbolts on Saturday night.
Wes Long's second grand slam in as many nights doubled the Windy City lead in the fourth inning, making the score 12-4. His was the third of four Thunderbolt homers in the 10-run inning.
The Thunderbolts' Phillip Hawke started the scoring with his first of two homers on the evening. His second was a two-run shot that made the score 15-4 in the fifth inning.
The Wild Things did add three homeruns of their own with Tim Alberts' smacking two over the wall for 5 RBI and Jacob Dempsey's 12th of the year that gave Washington a 4-3 lead in the third inning.
