Thunder Unveils St. Patrick's Day Specialty Jersey

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, a two time recipient of the ECHL "Award of Excellence," announced specialty St. Patrick's Day jerseys will be worn by the team on Mar. 16-17 for two games celebrating St. Patrick's Day and Thunder's "Easy Being Green" at Stockton Arena when Stockton hosts Las Vegas on Friday and Utah on Saturday at 7:30 p.m.

The black base jersey, featuring a classic tie-down design, modified front "shamrock hat" Thor crest and green accented bolts along the shoulders and arms, will debut on Friday's game against Las Vegas. Fans can take home a game worn jersey through several jersey raffles offered throughout the weekend and a live "jersey off the back" auction immediately following Saturday's game vs. Utah.

The jersey concept was designed by Thunder merchandise manager Bryan Boyes in conjunction with SP Apparel, the official specialty jersey provider of the ECHL.

Fans can also purchase a Thunder replica St. Patrick's Day jersey in the Stockton Arena FanAttic, available now. Additional St. Patrick's Day themed merchandise is available for purchase including commemorative "jersey pucks," men's t-shirts, zippered hoodies and ladies scoop tees.

The fourth annual Thunder's "Easy Being Green" is the headliner event for the two games on Mar. 16-17 at Stockton Arena. The event unites hockey and community involvement with an eco-friendly campaign, capping a month long environmental awareness promotion throughout the Central Valley with "green-themed" weekend events.

A pre-game "Green Fair" (before each game) will feature local eco-friendly businesses and organizations distributing information and green-themed giveaways. More information on Thunder's "Easy Being Green" will be announced soon.
