The clubs played a scoreless first period with Alaska outshooting Las Vegas 7-6 in the opening frame. Then, for the second straight night, the Aces and Wranglers traded goals to open the scoring. 35 seconds into the middle period, Alaska struck first on a Jordan Kremyr redirection from the top of the crease. The Aces lead was erased 67 seconds later when Geoff Paukovich scored on a nice setup from Ryan Weston at 1:42 to tie the score.

It remained 1-1 throughout the second period and into the third, until Lunden was able to squeeze a redirection past the short side of Adam Courchaine at 6:13 to give Las Vegas their first lead of the weekend. The Aces had three straight power play chances in the third, and eventually pulled Courchaine in search of the equalizer, but could not beat Joe Fallon and the Wranglers held on for the 2-1 win.

Adam Courchaine (15-6-4) took the loss, making 21 saves on 23 shots. Joe Fallon (24-8-4) earned the win, stopping 26 of 27 shots against. The Aces power play went 0-5, while the Wranglers went 1-2. Alaska outshot Las Vegas 27-23 in the game.

The Aces and Wranglers conclude their three-game series on Saturday. They return to the Sullivan Arena on February 17. For more information, please call the Aces at 907.258.ACES or visit them online at www.facebook.com/alaskaaceshockey.
