Kyle Ostrow Called up to Rochester

Hoffman Estates, IL - The Chicago Express, proud member of the ECHL and proud affiliate of the NHL's Columbus Blue Jackets, announced today that F Kyle Ostrow has signed a Professional Tryout agreement with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Ostrow, 24, earns his first trip to the AHL of the season as he joins the Rochester Americans. The rookie forward has played in 44 games with the Express this season, scoring 10 goals and adding 17 assists for 27 points. Ostrow has five games of AHL experience in his professional career, as he appeared with Portland last season after finishing a four year career at the University of Denver (NCAA).

While at the University of Denver, the Calgary, AB, native recorded 105 points in 158 games, and in his entire career was never held to under 20 points in a season. Ostrow also served as the team's captain during his senior season in 2010-11, won a WCHA Championship in 2007-08, and led his team in assists with 13 as a freshman in 2007-08.

The Express hit the road for the next four games, and return home against the Gwinnett Gladiators on Friday, February 17. That game is a dollar Friday, featuring one dollar beers and one dollar hot dogs.
