WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder made a roster move Wednesday, signing goaltender Tim Boron.

A third year professional from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Boron has a career .907 save percentage in 53 professional games. He was a star rookie with the Colorado Eagles in 2006-07, going 13-4 with a 2.91 goals against average, and a .909 save percentage.

Last season, Boron split time in the ECHL with the Stockton Thunder and the Las Vegas Wranglers, where Thunder head coach Brent Bilodeau was an assistant. The 25-year old had a 3.16 goals against average and .909 save percentage in 31 games with Stockton. Boron played in one game with Stockton this season before signing with Wichita. He is expected to be in Wichita's lineup this weekend. Boron also played three seasons of college hockey at St. Cloud State. To make room, Wichita waived goaltender Dan McWhinney.

The Thunder head southwest this weekend when they play the Laredo Bucks for the first time in almost two years on Friday night. Wichita battles Rio Grande Valley on Saturday. The Thunder will not return home until Friday November 21st when they host the Texas Brahmas. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. at the Kansas Coliseum.
