Thunder Falls in Tulsa

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder lost 3-1 to the Tulsa Oilers at the BOK Center on Saturday night. Tulsa scored late goals in both the first and second periods to build a 2-0 lead, before breaking it open on Rob Hisey's goal at 6:24 in the third period.

Wichita scored its lone goal at 13:19 in the third when Glenn Detulleo knocked in Chris McAllister's rebound. Jason Duda also picked up an assist. Detulleo and Duda have points in three consecutive games.

Scott Campbell absorbed the loss, saving 26 of 29. Oilers' goaltender Kevin Armstrong stopped 21 of 22 for the win. Wichita went 0 for 5 on the power play while going a perfect 7 for 7 when shorthanded. Wichita's penalty kill unit stopped all 12 of the Oilers power play chances this weekend.

The Thunder ends the weekend schedule in Mississippi on Sunday afternoon at 3:05 p.m. when they take on the RiverKings.
