First Period Skid Ends: With two first period goals on Friday at Amarillo the Jackalopes snapped their three game skid without a first period goal.

Hat Tricks This Season: Jeff Pierce scored the first hat trick of the season for the Jackalopes at Amarillo on October 23rd.

Record Setting 08-09 for Thinel: Last season in a March 15th win over Amarillo, Sebastien Thinel broke a pair of franchise records with his 56th assist of the season, then his 95th point of the year with a goal in the second period.

Offensive History: Last season the Jackalopes scored 260 goals in the regular season which is the second most all time in franchise history. The Jackalopes franchise record for goals scored in a season is 262 Faces in 09-10: Last season the Jackalopes entered their first game with eight returning players on their roster. This year the Jacks have 15.

Thinel, Pierce, Toivonen named to All-League Teams: Three Jacks players received All-League Honors last season. Sebastien Thinel was named to the All-CHL Team along with Kevin Ulanski Riley Nelson Dale Lupul Aaron Schneekloth and Kevin Beech Jeff Pierce and Juha Toivonen were named to the leagues All-Rookie Team along with Darryl Smith Adam Perry Nicholas Dumoulin and Dane Marshall Finalists Last Season: Russ Moyer was a finalist for the CHLs Most Outstanding Defenseman award, and Jeff Pierce was a finalist for the CHL Rookie of the Year.

Never Missing a Beat: Four players for the Jacks appeared in all 64 games last season. Jeff Pierce, Russ Moyer, Kory Karlander, and Sebastien Thinel played in every game. Jackalopes All Time Record: The Jacks are 401-307-82 through 790 regular season games played as a franchise.

GAME PREVIEW:

Last Game Odessa Jackalopes: The Jackalopes tied a franchise record with nine goals against Amarillo in a 9-4 win over the Gorillas. Jeff Pierce netter his first career hat trick, and Paul Kelly added a pair of goals. Juha Toivonen made 20 saves in net for the Jacks. Four of Odessas goals came on the power play.

Last Game Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs: The Mudbugs lost to the Allen Americans on Friday night, 2-1. All three goals in the game came on the power play. Ken Carroll made 38 saves for the Bugs while Charlie Effinger stopped 34 for the Americans. to Watch: Jeff Pierce netted a hat trick for the Odessa Jackalopes in their previous game vs. Amarillo and leads the team with five this season. Ken Carroll was sharp in his first start of the season despite taking a loss to Allen. Carroll was 38 of 40 in net GAA, SV%) against Allen.

Power Play Clicking for Odessa: The Jackalopes are nine of 16 on the power play in their last two games scoring at a 56.2% rate. On the season the Jackalopes are leading the CHL with a 32.3% power play percentage.

Offensive Behavior: The Odessa Jackalopes have scored 16 goals in their last two games after beginning the season with four goals in the first two games. Their nine goals on Friday at Amarillo

Toivonen Standing Tall At Home: Dating back to last seasons playoffs, Juha Toivonen has three consecutive shutouts at home for the Odessa Jackalopes after the teams October 20th win over the Killer Bees.

Strong Start for Martin: Joel Martin, has been a stabilizing presence in net for the Jacks early this season. The Jackalopes goaltender has stopped 92.5% of the shots hes faced with a 1.94 GAA.

Franchise Win #400: Odessas 7-0 win on October 20th over Rio Grande Valley was the 400th regular season in franchise history.

Goal #200, Assist #300, Point #500 for Thinel: Jackalopes forward, Sebastien Thinel, is currently one goal away from scoring the 200th of his pro career, one assist away from career assist #300, and four points away from 500 in his career.

TONIGHTS MATCHUP:

Its the first of three meetings this season between the Jackalopes and the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs. The Mudbugs are two years removed from a Governors Cup Trophy after going 44-14-6 in the 2007-2008 season. Last season the Jacks lost the only meeting of the season, 5-2, in Bossier City at the CenturyTel Center. The Mudbugs scored four goals in the opening period, while Collin Circelli scored a pair of goals for the Jackalopes.
