(Trenton, NJ)- Mike Kinkade had three RBI, Colin Curtis added three runs scored and Trenton took advantage of eight Reading walks, along with two errors in an 11-4 win over the Phillies on Friday night. The win gives Trenton back-to-back wins for the first time in three weeks.

Reading (59-59) got off to a good start with three runs in the top of the first off Thunder starter Alan Horne, including a two-run double by RF Greg Jacobs. But Trenton responded with three runs in the bottom of the first to tie the game. The Thunder (68-49) got RBI singles from CF Jamal Strong, Kinkade and 1B Cody Ehlers off Phillies starter Carlos Carrasco. Carrasco then walked five Trenton hitters in the 2nd Inning, along with an error by SS Joey Hammond, leading to four more runs and a 7-3 lead. Carrasco (4-2) walked six in 1 2/3 innings, allowing seven runs (five earned) in the loss.

Meanwhile, Horne settled in after the tough 1st inning. He blanked Reading on three hits over the next five innings. For the night, Horne (11-4) allowed three runs on six hits with five walks and six strikeouts for the win. The Thunder then broke the game open with three runs off reliever Chris Rojas in the 6th Inning. One run scored as Kinkade was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded. the other two scored on an error by 2B Peeter Ramos.

Trenton and Reading meet again on Saturday at 7:05 PM. Dan McCutchen (0-1, 0.90) starts for the Thunder against the Phillies' Gary Knotts (0-1, 0.00).
