Thunder assisting Toys For Tots - Operation Holiday

WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Thunder will hold a free ice hockey clinic for kids on Wednesday afternoon at Ice Sports Wichita.

The clinic will run from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and will be broken into three age groups: mites and squirts, bantams and midgets, and pee wees. To register call the Thunder office at 264-4625. Space is limited to 40 skaters per level. The clinic is being sponsored by Terradyne Resort and Country Club.

The Thunder are also entering their stretch run to help both Toys For Tots and Operation Holiday. All fans who bring new, unwrapped toys, coats or food items to the Thunder office or either A-OK Pawn location will receive two free tickets to the next Thunder home game on Friday, December 5th versus the Lubbock Cotton Kings. The event is also being made possible through the assistance of the Western Uniform and Towel Service, Inc.

Toys For Tots and Operation Holiday work together during the Holidays to help families in need. This season the need is greater than ever, as over 10,000 people in the Wichita area will receive assistance...and a little extra Christmas Cheer!

The Thunder return to action on Friday at 7:35 p.m. in Oklahoma City for the first of three road games in three days. Wichita will play the Tulsa Oilers on Saturday at 7:35 p.m., then face the Fort Worth Brahmas on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
