Lubbock Cotton Kings News Release
LUBBOCK â Lubbock Cotton Kings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kirk Tomlinson announced today that the team has signed Darren Partch and Vinnie Jonasson. Tomlinson is officially announcing today the signing of forward Mike Bournazakis who played this past weekend against New Mexico.
"With Jeff Dewar, Derek Holland and Steve Birch now on the shelf, these are much needed additions to the lineup," said Tomlinson. "Jonasson and Partch will give us ten guys up front and five defensemen â something we haven't had in a long time."
Tomlinson also brought Bournazakis to the squad Friday before the game against New Mexico.
"Mike comes from a line of goal scoring forwards with lots of pop," said Tomlinson. "He is a crafty playmaker."
All three recent additions should be available for the game Wednesday night against Amarillo â Mike Bournazakis' former team.
IR Note: Steve Birch and Kevin Fines have been placed on the injured reserve retroactive to Nov. 22 and Nov. 14 respectively.
