Thanksgiving Week Includes Two Ice Home Games

DUMBA DO: Usually known for his goal-scoring prowess, Ice forward Jared Dumba has fulfilled the role of playmaker as of late with 11 points (1G, 10A) in his last six games. With a point in each of the team's three road games last weekend, Dumba enters this week's play tied for the best current point streak in the CHL at six games. With 13 assists already this year, Dumba's career numbers for goals and helpers are close to even at 95 goals and 91 assists respectively.

MINISTERS OF DEFENSE: Bernie John and Mario Doyon form the most potent defensive duo in the CHL as the veteran blueliners have combined for 39 points (11G, 28A), eight power play goals, two multiple goal games and four three-or-more point games this season. John, who is the top-scoring defenseman in all of pro hockey with 24 points, became the first 300-point man in Indianapolis Ice franchise history (IHL/CHL) with two assists in Sunday's win at New Mexico. Doyon currently ranks in a tie for second among CHL d-men in scoring with 15 points and his six goals put him in a tie for first among league defensemen.

JOEY GUNS: Joe Guenther has made a triumphant return from a stint on I.R. as the second-year forward from Buffalo, New York has tallied four goals in his first four games back. Guenther, who missed nine games due to injury, had a goal in three straight games, before being held scoreless this past Sunday.

SOME LIKE IT HOT: Bernie John has 18 points (3G, 15A) in his last eight games...Jason Baird is riding a five-game point streak that includes eight points (3G, 5A)...Mario Doyon has eight points (4G, 4A) in his last five games...Jason Selleke, who has eight points (5G, 3A) in his last five games, is also just two points away from being the fourth CHL Ice player to reach the 100-point plateau for his Ice career (Bernie John (301 pts), Chris MacKenzie (297 pts) and Yvan Corbin (256 pts) are the others)....Dave Gilmore has recorded six points (3G, 3A) in his last five games....Jeff Sanger returned from Norfolk (AHL) last last week and stopped an Ice season-high 43 shots in Saturday's loss at Colorado then returned to the nets Sunday in New Mexico and stopped 23 shots in the win.

TIP OF THE ICEBERG: The Ice has won three straight games at home...Special teams remain strong for the Icemen as the team ranks second in the CHL on the power play (19-92, 20.7%) and fourth on the penalty kill (59/68, 86.8%)....The Ice has outscored its opponents 20-10 in the first period... The Ice has scored the first goal of the game in 12 of 15 games this year and has a record of 7-4-1 in those games...Before being released on Saturday to make room for Jeff Sanger, goaltender Will Hamele stopped seven of eight shots on Friday night.

EAGLES CLAW OUT 4-3 VICTORY OVER ICE

· Greg Pankewicz scored the game-winning goal midway through the third period to break a 3-3 tie and the Eagles held on for the win...Mario Doyon had a pair of markers for the Icemen, while Brent Zelenewich played the majority of game in goal and made 26 saves.

EAGLES REPEAT FRIDAY'S RESULT WITH ANOTHER 4-3 TRIUMPH

· The Ice let a 3-0 first period lead slip away as the Eagles scored four unanswered goals to earn the win...Riley Nelson led Colorado with two goals, while the Ice got two lamplighters from Dave Gilmore...Jeff Sanger returned to the pipes and stopped 43 shots in the loss.

ICE STINGS SCORPIONS WITH 3-2 WIN

· Dave Gilmore's goal with just under five minutes to play put the Ice ahead for good and ended the road trip in winning fashion...Jason Selleke, Jared Dumba and Bernie John all had two-point nights, while Jeff Sanger stopped 23 shots in net.
