Thunder Announce Change to Preseason Game

Wichita, KS (Sept. 23rd) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, announced this afternoon that there has been a change to the team's exhibition game on Saturday, October 10th. The opponent for the contest will now be the Allen Americans instead of the Tulsa Oilers with the puck drop at 4 p.m. Immediately following the conclusion, the Wichita Junior Thunder will host the Colorado Junior Eagles.

The two heated rivals will face each other for the first time in an exhibition game. Wichita has faced Tulsa in two of the last three years in preseason action. Tickets are on sale now for $12 and are only available at the Thunder office. Admission will allow fans to see both games. Face-off is set for 4 p.m. at the Wichita Ice Center.

The Thunder will enter their 24th season in the Air Capital and second year as a member of the ECHL. Wichita opens its season on Friday, October 16th at Tulsa and will play its home opener on Saturday, October 17th against the Quad City Mallards.
