
Cyclones Add Size to Backend

CINCINNATI, OH- The Cincinnati Cyclones have announced the signing of defenseman Kevin Lind for the 2015-2016 season. The Homer Glen, IL, native spent last season with the Utah Grizzlies, and also saw time with the American Hockey League's (AHL) Norfolk Admirals.
"Kevin is a solid defensemen who has grown a lot as a player in his first year, and has shown that he can help contribute in both ends of the rink," said Cyclones Head Coach Matt MacDonald. "Having Kevin on the backend will contribute to the mobility of our defensive core, and also adds some size and strength."
A sixth round selection by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, Lind spent 45 games with the Grizzlies last season, ranking fourth on the team in defensemen scoring with 11 points (7g, 4a). Lind also saw five games worth of action with Norfolk, however did not register a point. He made his professional debut with the Admirals in 2014, suiting up in one game.
A 2014 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Lind accounted for seven goals and 29 assists over four seasons, and helped lead the Fighting Irish to a Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) championship during his junior season in 2012-2013.
Prior to his time in South Bend, the 6'3", 222 pound rearguard skated for the Chicago Steel of the United States Hockey League (USHL), where he netted 21 points (8g, 13a) over two seasons.
