Stingrays Announce 2015-2016 Promotional Schedule

NORTH CHARLESTON, SC-The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 23 seasons in the Lowcountry and proud affiliate of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced the Promotional Schedule for the 2015-2016 season today. The Stingrays will host a special Opening Night on Saturday, October 17 at 7:05 p.m. versus the Reading Royals. That evening is Mother Emanuel AME Church Family Night to honor and remember all impacted by the June church shooting in Charleston. Survivors will be in attendance and the Stingrays will wear "Charleston Strong" jerseys that will be auctioned with proceeds going to the children of those impacted. That evening will also feature a Magnetic Schedule Giveaway to the first 5,000 fans courtesy of Savage Law Firm. The Stingrays will also raise banners to celebrate winning the East Division and the 2015 Eastern Conference Championship last season.

Fans will want to mark their calendars for the popular Pack the House Night presented by South Carolina Sports Medicine, featuring $5 tickets and free parking, which is scheduled for Saturday, January 23 against Greenville.

The club's Promotional Schedule continues to feature fun for the entire family. Sunday afternoon games are Crews Chevy and Charleston County Parks Family Days, featuring $5 kids tickets and $5 kids meals. Sunday games are also themed around family-friendly fun, with Princess and Pirates Day with Blackbeard's Cove scheduled for October 25, a Youth Jersey giveaway on January 3, the always popular "Frozen" Day on tap for January 17 and Mascot Mania slated for February 21. Another fan favorite, Undie Sunday, takes place on March 20.

Families and friends may also enjoy a spectacular deal on Friday nights with the Rays 4 Pack, featuring four tickets, four hot dogs, four sodas and one large popcorn for just $65.

The Stingrays will continue the commitment of giving back to the Lowcountry with fundraising efforts and benefit nights. The club hosts the 10th Annual Pink in the Rink, presented by Trident Health on Saturday, March 5. The evening will benefit Share Our Suzy and both the Stingrays special jerseys, and the ice, will be pink for the night.

The club will also host Kids Kickin' Cancer with Camp Happy Days presented by Apecs on Sunday, November 1 versus Evansville, as well as Hockey Heroes for Epilepsy Night, featuring special jerseys and a Cool Ray Bobblehead Giveaway on Saturday, December 12. The Stingrays will also wear special jerseys for Military Appreciation Night presented by Apecs Aerospace on Saturday, February 6.

Other returning favorites include the annual Teddy Bear Toss on Sunday, December 13 versus Atlanta, and an appearance from the Zooperstars! on Saturday, January 2 versus Cincinnati. On Saturday, January 16, the Stingrays will host the Trident Health Adult Jersey Giveaway for the first 1,000 adults at that evening's game.

The Stingrays will also introduce Ladies Night at all Tuesday games during the 2015-2016 regular season. All women 18 and up earn free admission to the game, and the night features $2 beer and hot dogs. Tuesday games also feature 2-for-1 ticket specials.

Six Free Parking Nights highlight the Promotional Schedule with dates set for October 17, December 13, January 23, February 6, March 5 and April 2.
