Trenton Thunder News Release
(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A affiliate of the New York Yankees, announced Tuesday that outfielder Abraham Almonte has been activated from the team's disabled list and outfielder Rob Segedin has been activated from the team's Temporarily Inactive List. Infielder Yadil Mujica has been transferred to High-A Tampa, while outfielder Shane Brown has been placed on the DL (retroactive to 8/3).
Almonte missed the team's last 37 games (beginning June 29) with right hamstring soreness. The All-Star was batting .284 with four home runs and 45 runs scored. Despite missing over one month of action, Almonte still leads the Thunder with 30 stolen bases on the season. Segedin missed the team's road trip to Bowie last weekend to attend to a family matter.
