Thunder Add Baker, Madrigal to the D.L.

Trenton Thunder News Release


(Trenton, NJ) - The Trenton Thunder, Double-A Affiliate of the New York Yankees, announce that RHP Warner Madrigal has been placed on the 7-Day Disabled List. In a corresponding move, C Ryan Baker has been transferred to Trenton from Triple-A Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre. The transactions keep Trenton's 24-man active roster at its capacity.

Baker, a native of Portland, Maine, will makes his 2011 debut after combining to appear in 18 games in 2010 with Advanced-A Tampa and Trenton. The former Cincinnati Bearcat was signed by the Yankees as a non-drafted free agent in June of 2008.

The Thunder will return home to Waterfront Park Tuesday at 7:05 PM to begin a three-game series with the defending Eastern League champions, the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates). Trenton will send RHP Craig Heyer (4-2, 2.74) to the Waterfront Park mound. Altoona will counter with RHP Aaron Pribanic (4-2, 2.60). Tune-in to the game on 91.3 WTSR-FM and on trentonthunder.com. The SBLI Pre-Game Show with Jay Burnham and Hank Fuerst begins at 6:45 PM.

The first 2,500 fans to Tuesday's game will be given tickets to NASCAR Qualifying and the ARCA Pocono 200 on June 11. It's also a Super Value Tuesday with one dollar hot dogs and Kids Eat Free courtesy of On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina in Princeton.
