
Tyler Moore Named Eastern League Player of the Week

Harrisburg, PA - Senators' first baseman, Tyler Moore, has been named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the period of May 23rd to May 29th. Moore is the second Senators player to win the award after Archie Gilbert won it earlier this month.
The 24-year-old infielder batted .448 (13-for-29) with four doubles, three home runs, seven RBI, seven runs scored and a .897 slugging percentage. He had multiple hits in five games last week and drove in at least one run in six of the eight games he played in. Moore led all Eastern League players in total bases (26) last week and he was also ranked among the weekly leaders in hits, extra-base hits, slugging percentage, runs scored, homers, batting average, OPS, doubles and RBI.
The Brandon, Mississippi native is tied for first in the league in extra-base hits (25) and is ranked second in total bases (99) and slugging percentage (.538). Tyler had 31 homers and 111 RBI while winning the Carolina League MVP Award last season. He won the Carolina League Player of the Week award four times last season. He was a16th round selection by the Nationals in the 2008 draft after hitting .299 with 14 homers and 46 RBI during his junior season at Mississippi State University.
On game days, the Metro Bank Park box office is open Monday through Saturday, 10:00 a.m. until the end of the game, and Sunday from 9:00 a.m. until the end of the game. Box office hours on non-game days are Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tickets are available via telephone during the same hours as the box office hours.
