Three Legends Named to 2011 All-NBA D-League Showcase Teams

South Padre Island, TX (Jan. 13, 2011) - One of the top NBA prospects, the Texas Legends ¬â¢ Joe Alexander was named to the 2011 All-NBA D-League Showcase First Team, as named by a panel of NBA scouts, NBA D-League head coaches and media following the four-day, 16-game NBA D-League Showcase that took place this week in South Padre Island, Texas.
Alexander (6-8, 220), the No. 8 overall pick by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2008 NBA Draft, averaged 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds, as well as two double-doubles, in the Legends ¬â¢ two games.
Justin Dentmon was named to the Second Team, propelled by the best single-game performance in Legends team history in Texas ¬â¢ final contest. Dentmon ¬â¢s 38 points and 13 assists were both Legends single-game records. He also added seven rebounds and four steals in the win over the Iowa Energy.
Sean Williams rounded out the Legends honorees by being named to the Third Team. He averaged 11.5 points, 12 rebounds and 4.5 blocks in the two Legends games.
The Legends three honorees were tied with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers for the most of any team in the First, Second and Third team combined.
