New Hampshire Fisher Cats News Release

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The New Hampshire Fisher Cats, Double-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays, announced that three members of this year's team have been named to the Eastern Division's squad for the 2014 Eastern League All-Star Game on Wednesday, July 16, in Altoona, Pa. Relief pitchers Dustin Antolin and Randy Boone will join infielder Jon Berti for this year's mid-summer classic.

Antolin, 25, owns a 3-3 record in relief with a 2.66 ERA. In his first season with the Fisher Cats his numbers were less than impressive, but his hard work and improvements have paid off in a big way during his second season. After beginning the year by allowing six runs in his first six games, he's allowed just one over his last 14 games and 19 innings. He was the Blue Jays' 11th-round selection in the 2008 draft out of Mililani (Hawaii) High School.

Berti, 24, is in his first season with the Fisher Cats, but is no stranger to All-Star recognition. He was a post-season star in his debut year with Vancouver in 2011, and then earned mid-season recognition in 2012 and 2013. He currently leads the Fisher Cats with a .262 average and 26 stolen bases. The Troy, Mich. native is also second on the team with 30 RBI and 41 runs scored. Berti was the Blue Jays' 18th round selection in the 2011 draft out of Bowling Green State University.

Boone, 30, is the veteran of the group and will be making his second All-Star appearance. He earned his original All-Star Game nod as a starter with Lansing in the Midwest League in 2008. In his fifth season with the Fisher Cats, he is pitching perhaps better than he ever has in New Hampshire. He earned his first win of the year on Sunday, which moved him into second place all time in franchise history. He boasts a 2.67 ERA with nine saves and 29 strikeouts. The Austin, Texas native was the Blue Jays' 7th-round selection in the 2007 draft out of the University of Texas.

The Fisher Cats will begin their homestand tonight against the New Britain Rock Cats (Minnesota Twins) with a double-header. The teams will play two, seven-inning games starting at 6:05 p.m. Kids 12 and under will get into the ballpark for free tonight courtesy of Hannaford Supermarket.
