Richmond, VA - The Richmond Flying Squirrels, Double-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, in conjunction with the Eastern League of Professional Baseball Clubs, are pleased to announce that four Flying Squirrels have been selected as Eastern League Mid-Season All-Stars. LHP Ty Blach, LHP Jack Snodgrass, SS Matt Duffy and 3B Mario Lisson have all been named to the Western Division team that will compete in the 2014 Eastern League All-Star Stop (Game) in Altoona, PA, on Wednesday, July 16th, at 7 p.m. The game will be held at the home of the Altoona Curve, Peoples Natural Gas Field.

Eastern League Mid-Season All-Stars are selected through voting conducted among league managers, broadcasters, media members and fans.

Blach, 23, is currently fifth in the Eastern League with an ERA of 2.98. He is in his first season with the Flying Squirrels and is presently ranked by Baseball America as the #8 prospect in the San Francisco Giants' system. The Centennial, CO, native and Creighton University (5th round - 2013) product led the California League in wins (12) in 2013 - his first professional season. He was named a 2013 CL Post-Season All-Star as well as the 2013 CL Pitcher of the Year. He currently leads the Flying Squirrels' staff in innings pitched as well (84.2).

Snodgrass, 26, was also named as a 2013 Eastern League Mid-Season and Post-Season All-Star. The native of Bowling Green, KY, currently leads the 2014 team in wins (8) and also holds the franchise record for wins (20). He has posted a lifetime 20-6 record in the Eastern League. Snodgrass was selected in the 27th round of the 2011 MLB draft by the San Francisco Giants out of Austin Peay State University. He is currently in his fourth professional season.

Duffy, 23, is enjoying a breakout year while serving as the Flying Squirrels' everyday shortstop. In his first season in the Eastern League, the native of Long Beach, CA, is currently fifth in the league batting race (.338). He leads the Flying Squirrels with that average, as well as in hits (102), 2Bs (15 - T-1st), OBP (.401) and RBIs (52). Duffy, an 18th round selection of the Giants out of Long Beach State University in 2012, was also named a South Atlantic League All-Star while with the Augusta GreenJackets (A) in 2013.

Lisson, 30, garners All-Star recognition in his first season in the Giants' organization. A longtime member of the Kansas City Royals' chain, Lisson signed with San Francisco as a minor league free agent on December 13th, 2013. He currently leads the Flying Squirrels with 10 home runs and is second with 47 RBIs. Nicknamed "Super Mario" and "La Tormenta" (The Storm), the native of Caracas, VZ, came on during the month of May when he hit .363 with 4 HRs and 19 RBIs.

The Flying Squirrels continue their week-long home stand at The Diamond on Monday night as they welcome the Akron RubberDucks (Cleveland Indians) to The Diamond for the first time in the 2014 season. The four-game series with the RubberDucks begins at 7:05 p.m. For tickets, or for more information, please visit SquirrelsBaseball.com or call (804) 359-FUNN.
