LAST GAME: The Binghamton Mets blew a two-run lead in the ninth and fell to the Erie SeaWolves, 10-9 in ten innings on Sunday at NYSEG Stadium. Steven Moya tied the game with a two-run home run off Adam Kolarek in the ninth. T.J. Rivera collected four hits, including his first career Double-A home run, while scoring twice and tallying two RBI. Travis Taijeron smashed a two-run home run in the bottom of the sixth to give the B-Mets an 8-6 lead. Dilson Herrera extended his hitting streak to nine games with a 3-for-6 performance. On the other side, Devon Travis went 4-for-6 and scored four times for the SeaWolves. It the first series loss for Binghamton since June 6-8 against New Britain.

BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Cory Mazzoni makes his first start of the year for Binghamton. The Evans City, Pennsylvania native has made two professional starts this season after being injured to start the year. He gave up two runs in four innings and took the loss for the GCL Mets in a 8-0 defeat to the GCL Nationals on June 21. Mazzoni also gave up two runs in five innings for St. Lucie (High-A) on Tuesday, July 1 against the Charlotte Stone Crabs. St. Lucie won the game 6-4. The NC State product was taken by the Mets in the 2nd round of the 2011 draft.

PORTLAND STARTER: LHP Brian Johnson makes his 12th start of the year and third against Binghamton. The southpaw didn't factor in the decision in his latest outing, an 8-6 Portland win at Trenton on Wednesday, July 2. The Cocoa Beach, Florida native allowed one run on five hits in three innings. Johnson is 2-0 against the B-Mets in 2014. He's allowed three runs (one earned) in 11.1 innings and has struck out nine. Johnson was taken by Boston in the first round of the 2012 draft out of the University of Florida.

SO...THAT HAPPENED: Binghamton and Erie just wrapped up a series that saw a total of 40 innings played in three days. That includes a 16-inning marathon on Friday that lasted 5 hours and 26 minutes, four minutes shy of the franchise record. The teams played for13 hours and 34 minutes in a 51 hour and 20 minute period. 28 pitchers were used in the series.

NEXT STOP, ALTOONA: INF Brian Burgamy, OF Kyle Johnson, along with relievers Cody Satterwhite and Jon Velasquez have all been named to the Eastern League All-Star Stop in Altoona on July 15 and 16. Burgamy has 14 home runs on the year and leads the team in with 51 RBI. Johnson has scored 47 runs this season, good for most on the squad. Satterwhite has been lights out in relief. He's six-for-seven in save opportunities and held opponents to a .188 batting average. Finally, Velasquez has 37 strikeouts in 38.1 innings and has walked just eight.

DIL-SON!: B-Mets INF Dilson Herrera went 1-for-3 in the night cap on Saturday to extend his hitting streak to eight games. The 20-year-old is 12-for-38 during the stretch. That includes a four-hit performance on June 28 at Altoona. It's the fourth longest streak for Herrera this season. He had stretches on 9, 10 and 11 games with St. Lucie (High-A). Herrera is the youngest player in the Eastern League.

BATTLE OF THE BESTS: Binghamton and Portland have two of the best records in the Eastern League. The team's are a combined 44 games above .500. They're among the top three squads in batting average, runs, slugging percentage, WHIP and errors. The B-Mets are 4-10 against the Sea Dogs in 2014.

HE DID IT, AGAIN: B-Mets INF Dilson Herrera tallied his third game with at least four hits on Sunday since joining the team on June 19. Herrera went 3-for-6 with a double and scored twice. It's all part of a nine-game hitting streak the Colombian native. He could become the sixth Binghamton player to hit in ten straight games this season with a base knock on Monday.

FANTASTIC FOUR: Binghamton INF T.J. Rivera became the tenth Binghamton player to collect four hits in an game, on Sunday. He went 4-for-4 with his first career Double-A home run. Rivera reached base in all five plate appearances.

NEXT GAME PREVIEW: Binghamton continues it's series with Portland on Tuesday at 6:35 PM at NYSEG Stadium. RHP Tyler Pill goes for the B-Mets opposite RHP Mike Augliera for the Sea Dogs.
