Three Bucks Named to NWL Postseason All-Star Team

Rochester, Minn. - The Northwoods League announced the 2014 Postseason All-Star Team today, a squad that includes three members of the Waterloo Bucks. Adam Bray, Pat MacKenzie, & Jon McAllister were all honored by the NWL for their efforts this season.

Adam Bray, a junior from South Dakota State University, is 4-0 with a 1.94 ERA this season for Waterloo. The Eden Prairie, Minnesota native has appeared in nine games, striking out 44 with one save. Bray, a right-handed pitcher, is holding batters to a .187 average in 46.1 innings pitched. The hurler was also named a mid-season NWL All-Star.

Pat MacKenzie, a junior from Central Michigan University, made the All-Star Team as a designated hitter. A native of Royal Oak, Michigan, MacKenzie's name is littered throughout the NWL leaderboards this season. MacKenzie currently is tied for the league-lead in batting with a .376 average. In addition, the second baseman leads the NWL in on-base percentage at .506, second in stolen bases with 26, second in runs with 57, and third in walks with 49. On August 3rd, he stole the 61st base of his career, becoming the team's all-time stolen base record holder. MacKenzie was named a mid-season NWL All-Star and was recently invited to participate in the NWL Big League Dreams Showcase.

Outfielder Jon McAllister is currently second on the team in hitting with a .325 average in 59 games. Originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, McAllister has eight doubles, three triples, and 26 RBI. The Long Island University product owns a .389 on-base percentage to go along with 16 steals. McAllister was named a mid-season NWL All-Star.

The Bucks finish up the regular season tonight with a 7:05 pm contests at the Willmar Stingers. With a Mankato MoonDogs loss versus the Eau Claire Express and a Bucks win today, Waterloo would win the second half of the North Division and make the NWL Playoffs.
