Anchors Take Season Finale

Alexandria Blue Anchors News Release
The Anchors got on the board first thanks to a solo home run by Ricky Sanchez.
Rochester responded with a two RBI double by Ryne Roper in the top of the fourth inning to make it 2-1 Honkers.
Alexandria would break the game wide open in the bottom of the fourth. Five consecutive hits would score three, and then a Grand Slam by Ricky Sanchez would make it 8-2 Anchors.
Rochester bounced back in the top of the fifth, scoring three on a Parker Guinn sacrifice fly and a two RBI single from Jordan Smith. The score would be 8-5 Anchors entering the bottom the fifth inning.
The offense would continue in the next half inning, as Lukas Hermanson would make it 9-5 Anchors on an RBI double.
Ryan Froom came in for the Anchors in the seventh and came through with a three inning save to shut the door on both the 9-5 win and the season for the Blue Anchors.
Note: The Anchors will return to action in May of 2015.
