
Thorns FC to Host Thorns Spring Invitational Presented by Tillamook Yogurt March 11-17 at University of Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - Portland Thorns FC today announced details for the Thorns Spring Invitational, presented by Tillamook Yogurt, at the University of Portland. Taking place from March 11-17, the third-annual, four-team tournament features Thorns FC, the U.S. U-23 Women's National Team, Chicago Red Stars and Houston Dash.
Playing all matches at Merlo Field, Portland and Chicago will square off Sunday, March 11; kickoff is set for 5 p.m. (Pacific). Houston and the U.S. U-23s will face each other in the opening match at 11:30 a.m. (Pacific). On Wednesday, March 14, Chicago takes on Houston at 1:30 p.m. (Pacific), while Thorns FC play host to the U.S. U-23s at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific). Portland closes out the preseason tournament against Houston on Saturday, March 17, at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), while Chicago and the U.S. U-23s square off at 1:30 p.m. (Pacific).
Tickets for the three preseason tournament matches featuring Thorns FC are general admission. Individual tickets for the three Portland preseason matches, starting at $7, go on sale to the general public starting Friday, Feb. 23, at 10 a.m. (Pacific) online at www.thornsfc.com. All Thorns FC Annual Members will receive complimentary tickets for one of Thorns FC's preseason matches. Discounted options will be available for the other two Thorns FC matches.
