After having the opportunity to play seven of the past eight games in Sault Ste. Marie, the Hounds finish the first half of the season playing ten of the next fifteen games on the road beginning this week.
The Hounds enter Week 8 of OHL action with a record of 7 wins, 9 losses and 2 overtime losses, good for 16 points and 4th spot in the West Division.
They trail the 3rd place Saginaw Spirit by two points, while leading Saturday's opponent, the Flint Firebirds, by a single point.
Sooite BLAKE SPEERS leads the team offensively with 4 goals and 11 assists in 18 games played.
Spears, and 2nd-year teammate ZACH SENYSHYN depart Sault Ste. Marie later this morning to participate in the Canada/Russia Series game tomorrow (Thurs. Nov 12) in Owen Sound.

Saturday November 14 @ Flint Firebirds
7:30PM - Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center
For the first time in the franchise history, the Hounds travel down I-75 to take on the Flint Firebirds at the Dort Federal Credit Union Event Center.
This is the second time these teams have met this season. The Hounds led the entire contest back on October 7th before GABE GUERTLER's power-play goal at 16:42 of the third period provided as the game-winner.
The two teams head into the week separated by just a single-point in the West Division standings although Flint holds a game-in-hand.
It will be a big night for former Firebird BRYCE YETMAN, who will be playing against his former team for the first time since the trade that saw him come North to the Hounds on October 21st.
On the Firebirds side of things, Villi Saarijarvi is coming off a Month of October being named the OHL Defensemen of the Month.
The native of Rovaniemi, Finland tallied 2 goals and 9 assists in 11 games last month.

Sunday November 15 @Windsor Spitfires
2:05PM - WFCU Centre
After dropping the first game of the season (Sept. 25 @ SSM) in overtime to the Spitfires, the Hounds will be looking for a big win at the WFCU Centre this Sunday.
Windsor enters this week leading the West Division with a record of 12-4-3-0, good for 27 points.
Newly-acquired G Garret Hughson has been strong between the pipes for Windsor recording in a shutout in his Spitfire debut while leading to a 3-0 win/loss record to go along with a 1.67 GAA and .950 SV%.
Hughson, a native of Foremost Alberta, was originally placed on CHL Waivers in mid-October before being claimed by the Niagara IceDogs and subsequently acquired by Windsor.

Hockey House Restaurant & Bar
The Hockey House Restaurant and Bar, inside the Essar Centre, will be opening for every game at 5:30 PM starting on Friday November 20.
Patrons must use the Main Gate Entrance in order to get into the restaurant.
Teddy Bear Toss Night / Santa Claus Parade
Fans are reminded that the team will be hosting it's Annual Teddy Bear Toss Night and Stuff-A-Bus event on Saturday, November 21st when the Hounds host the Peterborough Petes.
This is also the night the Rotary Santa Claus Parade will take place.
Fans are reminded that parking may be congested due to both events taking place downtown on this night.

October 28 - November 6, 2016 - Essar Centre
The World Under 17 Hockey Challenge is coming to Sault Ste Marie from October 28 - November 6, 2016! All Soo Greyhounds Season Ticket Holders are eligible for an exclusive "Keep Your Seat" package at the Essar Centre Box Office. This special package gives you access to your current Soo Greyhounds season seat for all 16 games at the Essar Centre for a reduced rate of $99 (HST and other fees not included).
The "Keep Your Seat" ticket package will be available directly at the Essar Centre Box Office starting on Wednesday October 28, 2015 at 5PM. This offer will only be available until Saturday November 28, 2015 at 2PM. After this deadline, all tickets will be released and made available to the general public on November 30, 2015!
