
Thirteen Hit Attack Powers Asheville Over Rome

Rome, GA - Single runs in the first through fourth innings along with thirteen hits powered the Asheville Tourists over the Rome Braves 4-1 Friday night at State Mutual Stadium. It was Rome's fifth consecutive setback.
The Tourists made it a 1-0 game in the first inning on Omar Carrizales' triple and Cesar Galvez's run scoring single. Rome tied the contest 1-1 in the bottom of the frame when Stephen Gaylor singled and later scoring on a single by Omar Obregon. Run scoring hits by Ryan Stephens, Roberto Ramos, and Galvez in the second, third, and fourth innings gave Asheville a 4-1 advantage. Strong pitching by the Tourists held Rome to just three hits in the game.
Ryan Castellani (2-7) gets the win for Asheville while Rome starter Zach Quintana (4-5) is given the loss and Josh Michalec (28) is credited with the save.
