'There's No Crying in Baseballtown' T-Shirt Giveaway Unveiled
June 15, 2022 - Eastern League (EL)
Reading Fightin Phils News Release
The design for the first annual fan choice t-shirt is in! Fans voted for one of four design choices and the winner was selected.
"There's No Crying in Baseballtown" t-shirts will be given away to the first 2,000 adults entering the Baseballtown gates on Tuesday, July 12 thanks to Pepsi. The Reading Fightin Phils play the New Hampshire Fisher Cats (Blue Jays) at 7:00 PM. The gates will open to fans at 5:00 PM and R-Phils staff members will be ready to give away the t-shirts to everyone who is eligible.
The "There's No Crying in Baseballtown" Shirt design won over the other three design options by a large margin. It was clearly the overwhelming favorite. The design reminds fans of all ages of the wonderful memories they've created in America's Classic Ballpark. Whether they've visited numerous times or it's their first time walking through the front gates, the fans will be greeted with a t-shirt that will remind them of fun times in Baseballtown for years to come. The old-school Phillies baby blue mixed with the pop of red font is sure to be recognizable all around. Sport your favorite hometown team with this unique and free merch!
The R-Phils have had some awesome giveaways throughout the years, but having the fans choose is a new special experience! With all the fun promotions and niche characters at the ballpark, the selection was tough to make. The signature line proved to be the perfect mix of classic and fun Baseballtown. Wear yours around the ballpark or in the community to make yourself known as a dedicated R-Phils fan!
There were three other t-shirt design options that fans could vote for. The "FirstEnergy Stadium" t-shirt had the field logo centered in the Pennsylvania state outline. The comfortable shirt was the color of the classic ballpark brick red. The "I Summer in Baseballtown" t-shirt featured different logos fans have seen over the years at the ballpark, perfect for both young and old fans. The "Have a Nice Day Screwball" design centered around the R-Phils' lead mascot. There's no better symbol of fun times in Baseballtown than Screwball, the captain of the mascot band.
