Tri-City 4, Sioux Falls 2

Lincoln, Neb. - Backed by a four-goal third period, the Storm topped the Stampede 4-2 in a comeback victory at the Ice Box on Saturday afternoon.

The Stampede opened the scoring when forward Eric MacAdams opened the scoring at 7:31 of the first period.

Sioux Falls forward Daniel Warpecha added another midway through the second period, making it 2-0 Stampede at the second intermission.

After outshooting the Stampede 23-20 through 40 minutes, the Storm solved goalie Zach LaRocque in the third period - notching four third-period goals.

Tri-City completed the Storm's three-goal comeback at 15:31 of the third period when forward Jake Wahlin buried a wrist shot from the bottom of the left faceoff circle.

Roughly one minute later, Storm forward Dan Labosky slipped a pass across the slot for Carson Meyer who slapped it in for the team's fourth consecutive goal, giving Tri-City an eventual 4-2 victory.

Omaha 5, Lincoln 3

Lincoln, Neb. - The Stars fell 5-3 in a close game to the Omaha Lancers on Saturday night at the Ice Box.

Jack Badini opened the scoring for the Stars after capitalizing on a goalmouth scramble at 6:57 of the first period.

The lead would hold until 11:13 of the period when Lancers forward Austin Alger beat Peyton Jones under the right arm. Omaha forward Nathan Krusko then added another before the end of the period to take a 2-0 lead into the first intermission.

Lincoln's Jack Badini evened the score early in the second period, but Omaha would roar back with goals from Alger and Krusko to make it 4-2 heading into the third.

The Stars closed the gap to 4-3 with a goal from Ludvig Hoff, but Omaha re-established a two-goal lead shortly after with Alger's third goal of the game to make it a 5-3 final.

Peyton Jones finished with 24 saves for the Stars.
