Lincoln, Ne. - The Tri-City Storm knocked in four goals in the third period, erasing a two-goal deficit to dash past the Sioux Falls Stampede, 4-2, Saturday from the Ice Box.

Down a pair of goals entering the third, Tri-City rallied off four tallies in an 11-minute span, helping the Storm end the preseason with a 3-1-0 record.

Alex Limoges and Wade Allison ripped goals within four minutes of each other to tie the contest eight minutes into the third.

With 4:29 left, Jake Wahlin scored to give Tri-City the tie breaking goal. Just 1:18 later, Carson Meyer ripped an insurance goal on the power-play to put the game firmly in the Storm's hands.

Meyer, Limoges, Wahlin and Dan Labosky finished with multi-point games.

Jake Kielly earned the victory and made 23 saves. Ales Stezka faced 34 shots, making 23 stops through the first two frames before the Storm's big final period.

Tri-City trailed by a pair after two despite a fast Storm start. Stezka made 15 saves in the first period and held Tri-City off the board. In between Stezka's stops, Eric MacAdams blew the puck high past Jake Kielly at the 7:31 mark of the first to give the Stampede the first goal.

In the second, Csenad Erdely used speed to rush into the zone on the right point, push it to himself along the right goal line and center the puck to the Daniel Warpecha, who tipped it over Kielly. Warpecha's goal at the 10:03 mark of the second gave Sioux Falls a 2-0 edge.

Bobby Kaiser dropped the gloves at the 3:28 mark of the third with Nolan Nicholas. Alex Limoges scored one minute later, going five-hole on Stezka, with assists to Carson Meyer and Dan Labosky.

"I was trying to give the team energy and change the momentum of the game," Kaiser said.

Wade Allison knotted the game at two at the 7:57 mark of the third, finding space from the left goal line and powering the puck into the net.

The game remained tied for the next seven minutes. Jake Wahlin broke the tie with a shot to the high-left portion of the cage with less than five minutes to play, assists to Jason Krych and Nico Sturm.

Tri-City is home at the Viaero Event Center next Friday, September 25, at 7:30 p.m. against the Omaha Lancers.
