Coming off a sweep of the Pawtucket Red Sox, the IronPigs open up a four game series with Buffalo
PITCHING MATCHUP
Tom Eshleman takes the ball for the IronPigs in the series opener. He is opposed by Chris Rowley for the Bisons. Today's starting pitching matchup is presented by Allentown Family Foot Care, which provides the latest in medical and surgical treatments of the entire foot and ankle. Learn more at affc.com.
Eshelman, seeking his second win of 2018, was 2-1 against the Bisons a season ago. Rowley is the first United States Military Academy graduate to pitch in a Major League game and starts tonight for Buffalo. The 27-year-old served 30 months in the United States Army.
LAST GAME
The IronPigs swept the Pawtucket Red Sox out of Allentown with a 3-0 win. It was a day that was highlighted by another great outing from Enyel De Los Santos (4-0), who added seven more scoreless innings to his already stellar season.
Nick Rickles continued to produce for the IronPigs offense, going 3-for-3 with two home runs and a single. Andrew Pullin also contributed for Lehigh Valley, going 1-for-3 with a double and an RBI. Click here to read a full recap of Wednesday's game.
HEAD-TO-HEAD
The IronPigs are 79-83 against the Bisons all-time dating back to 2008. The Pigs have 45 careers wins against Buffalo at home.
The Pigs took the 2017 season series from Buffalo 10-6 including a 7-0 record at home.
TONIGHT AT COCA-COLA PARK
It's Irish Heritage Night at Coca-Cola Park. There will be an extended Happy Hour from 5-7 which includes $1 hot dogs. Fans can also participate in post-game Launch-a-Ball. The Pigs' homestand continues through Sunday and features both Friday and Saturday night Fireworks, as well as Mother's Day specials. Tickets for each game are available here.
