'The Bark is Back' for Grrrowl Hockey

GREENVILLE, SC â The Greenville Grrrowl of the ECHL are excited to announce their marketing campaign for the upcoming 2003-04 season â "THE BARK IS BACK". The advertising/marketing positioning statement was presented at a noon press conference at the BI-LO Center.
" âThe Bark is Back' says it all, and we are excited about the many possibilities that this statement allows us to present to the fans of the Upstate," stated Carl Scheer, Chairman/CEO of the Grrrowl. "The Grrrowl are focused on returning to the basic goal of this organization, which is to give all fans a first-class and professional entertainment experience. "
Showcase Marketing, the organization's new marketing firm, presented the campaign to the Grrrowl. "The Bark is Back" will be incorporated into all facets of marketing for the upcoming season, including printed material, radio and television ad spots, along with the entire gameday atmosphere at Grrrowl games.
"Over the past few months, our staff has re-evaluated our entire operation to ensure that we are presenting the best possible product," stated Byron Rucker, Greenville Grrrowl Executive VP / General Manager. "From our new seating arrangement, to the Grrrowl âSound Stage', to the players on the ice, everyone will see a renewed enthusiasm at the BI-LO Center. The âBark' will truly be back beginning Friday, October 24th. Our fans have been extremely loyal, and we couldn't be more excited about the direction of the organization, on and off the ice."
The Grrrowl are making exciting additions to their game presentation for the upcoming season, with the fan in mind. While some of the details have been released, more exciting news will be forthcoming over the next 79 days leading to the home opener.
The Grrrowl have released the 2003-04 schedule, and will begin its sixth home slate on October 24th against the Charlotte Checkers at 7:05 PM. Greenville Grrrowl season tickets, mini-plans and flex packs are on sale now. Single game tickets will be on sale as of October 10, 2003.
