IceGators launch Billboard Blitz

Lafayette, LA – The Louisiana IceGators have launched a "Billboard Blitz" across Acadiana to promote season tickets. The IceGators have 15 Lamar Advertising billboards throughout the Lafayette area for the next 10 days. Another Billboard Blitz is scheduled for October.

"This is the first step in a coordinated advertising campaign that will include many of the different media outlets throughout Acadiana, including television, radio and print advertising," said IceGators general manager Brian Kelley. "This, in unison with several community related efforts, should help provide visibility for the IceGators and our upcoming season."

Also, visitors to the Baby Boomer Expo at the Cajundome Convention Center this Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be able to get information on the 2003-04 season. Team representatives will be on hand to answer questions and hand out material Friday from 1-8 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m. Clawd will also make an appearance Saturday after lunch to promote his Clawd's Krewe Kids Club.

The IceGators open up the season Friday, Oct. 17 at arch-rival Mississippi before returning home the next night, Saturday, Oct. 18 at 7:05 p.m. for their home opener versus the Sea Wolves. Full season ticket packages, half season plans and Ice Packs are on sale now and can be purchased by calling (337)234-4423. Full season packages start at just $288, while children ages 4-12 can have season tickets for only $225 in any level, including rinkside, with an adult purchase.
