Jersey Express, OT Sports, SP Apparel Return As On-Ice ECHL Jerseys Suppliers

Published on August 6, 2003 under ECHL (ECHL) News Release

The ECHL Board of Governors approved the ECHL Jersey Program at its annual meeting in 2002 in an effort to create an open market within the league. For the first time, teams have been able to negotiate individual contracts and partner with the jersey manufacturer that they feel best accommodates the needs of their team.

Each manufacturer receives on-ice representation and has the right to produce authentic, replica and third jerseys for their respective ECHL teams to be sold in the arena and in retail.

Following are the licensed jersey manufacturers and the list of teams that each will provide authentic, replica and third jerseys for:

Jersey Express – 2003 Kelly Cup Champion Atlantic City Boardwalk Bullies

OT Sports – Alaska Aces, Augusta Lynx, Bakersfield Condors, Charlotte Checkers, Columbia Inferno, Florence Pride, Fresno Falcons, Greensboro Generals, Greenville Grrrowl, Gwinnett Gladiators, Idaho Steelheads, Las Vegas Wranglers, Long Beach Ice Dogs, Reading Royals, Roanoke Express, South Carolina Stingrays, Texas Wildcatters, and Toledo Storm

SP Apparel – Cincinnati Cyclones, Columbus Cottonmouths, Dayton Bombers, Florida Everblades, Johnstown Chiefs, Louisiana IceGators, Mississippi Sea Wolves, Pensacola Ice Pilots, Peoria Rivermen, San Diego Gulls, Trenton Titans, and Wheeling Nailers

The ECHL opens its 2003-04 season on October 17 with 31 teams in 17 states playing a record 1,116 games, making it the largest league in professional hockey.
