Trish Connolly-Leslie Named Lynx Trainer

AUGUSTA, GA— The Augusta Lynx of the ECHL announced today the naming of Trish Connolly-Leslie as the team's new Head Athletic Trainer. Leslie will assume all duties pertaining to the day-to-day medical care and needs of the Augusta Lynx players.

Leslie comes to the Lynx through Sports Medicine Associates of Augusta where she has been the Senior Athletic Trainer for the past five years. The Indiana State University graduate brings a wealth of experience to the Lynx bench, having worked with the team physicians for the Miami Dolphins, Florida Marlins, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After obtaining her Master's Degree in Sports Medicine from ISU, Trish took part in the 1996 Olympic Games as a Staff Athletic Trainer at the Olympic Soccer Venue. Trish is currently a Staff Athletic Trainer for the USA Developmental Olympic programs in the sports of Soccer and Tae Kwon Do.

Leslie has worked closely with the Lynx since their inaugural season in 1998 helping rehabilitate player injuries and providing assistance with game night medical coverage. Leslie is married to husband Robert and resides in Augusta.

The Augusta Lynx open the regular season at the Augusta-Richmond County Civic Center on Friday, October 17th at 7:35 PM when they face-off with the Florida Everblades.
