Texas Stars News Release
CEDAR PARK, Texas - The Texas Stars added two more wins to the standings last week, picking up their first road victory as well as their first shutout win of the season. The Stars now prepare for their first home-and-home series of the 2014-15 campaign as they visit Oklahoma City on Friday and host the Barons Saturday night for Stars and Stripes weekend at Cedar Park Center.
Last week's record: 2-0-0-0, 4 pts.
Overall record: 3-0-0-0, 6 pts. (T-1st, West Division)

Oct. 24 at Oklahoma City and Oct. 25 vs. Oklahoma City:
The Stars begin a home-and-home series on Friday when they visit the Oklahoma City Barons. The Stars topped the Barons last week in a 3-2 final. This week's games will be the second and third meetings of 12 total this season. Saturday's game against Oklahoma City will be a 7:00 p.m. puck drop at Cedar Park Center.

Oct. 17 at Oklahoma City, 3-2 Win:
Derek Meech and Derek Hulak each scored in the opening three minutes of the contest to give the Stars a 2-0 lead. The Barons came back with two in the second to tie the score. In the third, Jyrki Jokipakka buried a power play goal at 16:14 and Jack Campbell shut the door the rest of the way to preserve the Texas win, and finished with 37 saves overall.
Oct. 18 vs. Utica Comets, 1-0 Win:
Jussi Rynnas shined with 29 saves for the Stars first shutout win of the season, and Travis Morin set the franchise record with his 100th career goal 1:07 into the third period for the game's only score. It was the first of four total meetings this season between Texas and Utica.

For the first time ever on Saturday night, Stars defenseman Cameron Gaunce competed against his younger brother, Brendan Gaunce, who is a forward for the Utica Comets. Texas and Utica will play three more times this season.
Kevin Henderson tallied the 100th point of his AHL career, an assist, and appeared in his 300th AHL game, on Oct. 17 at Oklahoma City. Travis Morin scored the 100th goal of his AHL and Texas Stars career on Oct. 18 vs. Utica to become the franchise's all-time leader, passing Colton Sceviour.
Scott Glennie is two assists shy of 50 in his AHL and professional career. Travis Morin is one assist shy of 200 in his AHL career, one point shy of 300 in his AHL career, two assists shy of 200 in his Texas Stars career, and two points shy of 300 in his Texas Stars career. Greg Rallo is two points shy of 100 in his Texas Stars career.

Saturday against Oklahoma City will be Stars and Stripes weekend at Cedar Park Center. The Stars will wear specialty jerseys that fans can bid on during a silent auction throughout the game. A Stars and Stripes floppy hat will also be given away to fans in attendance.
