Froese collected his 14th goal of the year, on the power play, to open up the scoring Wednesday night. The Silvertips capitalized on a Sawyer Mick hooking penalty at 8 minutes and 42 seconds, scoring just four seconds after the start of the man advantage. Graham Potuer collected his 15th assist of the season setting up Froese and helping Everett to a 1-0 lead. Portland continued to take penalties and the Silvertips continued to take advantage. A 5 on 3 power play led to Dailey's 10th goal of the season at 12:57. Dailey received a Taylor Ellington pass and scored on his second opportunity after a good Kurtis Mucha save, going five-hole and increasing Everett's lead to two. Ryan Kerr's slashing penalty at 14:55 gave Everett their fifth power play of the period and Chris de la Lande would use it to his advantage scoring his fourth goal of the season. The goal, coming at 16:21, started from an amazing tape to tape pass from Shane Harper through the slot finding de la Lande to make the score 3-0 Everett after 20 minutes of play.
Harper continued his strong play into the second period breaking up many Portland breakout's which led to the right winger's 27th goal of the season. Harper collected a rebound off of chances from Dailey and Iwanski pushing Everett's lead to four. Mick would break up Thomas Heemskerk's shutout streak that reached just over 100 minutes of play at 16:29. Mick fought hard in front of the Everett net popping the puck over Heemskerk's shoulder to bring the score to 4-1. Just 16 seconds later Parker found himself on a breakaway, going top shelf past Mucha to give the rookie forward his second career WHL goal at 16:45. Mucha would be pulled after Everett's fifth goal in place of Ian Curtis.
Bartek started off the third with his 16th goal of the season. Bartek increased Everett's lead to 6-1 after collecting an Ellington rebound in front at 50 seconds of the third period. In just his second career WHL game, Elynuik scored his first career WHL goal collecting a Froese rebound on top of the crease at 3:27, making score 7-1 in favor of the Silvertips. Chris Francis put home his 15th of the year after a good pass from Riley Boychuk found Francis alone on the backdoor at 12:34 making the score 7-2. Troy Rutowski added Portland's third goal of the night at 17:51 on the power play. Everett held off the rest of Portland's small comeback to hold on to a 7-3 victory.
