(GUELPH) For the third week in a row, the Guelph Storm announced that forward Taylor Beck is the AMJ Campbell Van Lines Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, November 1st.
Scoring eight points in three games (two goals and six assists), Taylor was the highest Storm point getter for the third consecutive week. Starting off in Erie with two assists on Wednesday, Taylor put up a second star effort leading the way with a goal and two assists against the Barrie Colts on Friday night at the Sleeman Centre. On Sunday in the Storm's 4-3 shootout victory, the Niagara Falls native was in on all three Storm goals, assisting on the first two and scoring the game tying goal with under two minutes left in the second. He was awarded with the third star of the game for his efforts.
Named the AMJ player of the week three weeks in a row, the Nashville Predators' 3rd round pick has accumulated 18 points in eight games and is currently on a 10 game point streak.
Beck moved up from 11th to 4th in league scoring this week and currently leads his team in all offensive categories. Scoring at more than a point per game pace (1.76), Taylor has 11 goals and 17 assists for 28 points in 16 games played. He leads the team in powerplay goals with five and is tied in shorthanded with one.
Next up the Storm host the Ottawa 67's at home on Friday night before heading to Owen Sound on Saturday and Kitchener on Sunday. Tickets are still available for Friday night's game and can be purchased online or by visiting or calling the Guelph Storm Box Office at 519-837-9690.
