Tampa Bay Rowdies News Release

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (January 14, 2016) - The Tampa Bay Rowdies' path to The Championship has been revealed with the release of the complete schedule for the 2016 North American Soccer League season. The Rowdies will be at home on the opening weekend of the season, welcoming Indy Eleven to Al Lang Stadium on April 2 in the first match of the season.

The league format is the same as last year with three new teams (Miami FC, Rayo Oklahoma City and Puerto Rico FC) set to make their debuts in 2016. The Spring Season, a single round robin, is 10 matches long played between April 2 and June 11. The Fall Season, a double round robin, is 22 matches long and will begin on July 2 with the final matches of the regular season being played on October 29.

FC Edmonton (April 16), the Carolina RailHawks (April 23), Rayo OKC (May 14) and Ottawa Fury FC (June 4) are the Tampa Bay's other home opponents in the Spring Season.

Of note, the Rowdies will play all three of Florida's other NASL teams on the road in the Spring, visiting Miami FC in week two on April 9, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on April 30 and Jacksonville Armada FC in the final match of the Spring Season on June 11. With three of five road matches in the Spring Season against Floridian clubs, the Rowdies will only have to fly twice, to play the New York Cosmos and Minnesota United FC in back-to-back road matches May 21 and 28.

After a three-week summer break, Tampa Bay will start the Fall Season at home against Jacksonville Armada FC on July 2. Other key home games in the Fall Season include matches against the New York Cosmos on July 23, the Fort Lauderdale Strikers on August 6, Carmelo Anthony's Puerto Rico FC on September 10 and Miami FC on October 1.

The Rowdies will make their first trip to NASL newcomers Rayo OKC on July 27 as part of a two-match swing that also includes Tommy Heinemann's return to Ottawa on July 30. Tampa Bay will visit Puerto Rico FC on July 16. The Rowdies will close the regular season in Jacksonville on October 29.

2016 season ticket packages start at just $170 and include all 16 regular season matches, as well as complementary tickets to Tampa Bay's preseason match against D.C. United at Al Lang Stadium on February 13. To lock in your season tickets today call (727)222-200 or click here.
