Washington, PA-Chicago Bandits pitcher Michelle Gascoigne delivered a gem and shortstop Tammy Williams delivered the go-ahead two-run shot in the third sparking the Bandits to a 4-1 victory over the Pennsylvania Rebellion at CONSOL Energy Park Friday.

In her seven innings of work and fifth complete game of the season, Gascoigne allowed just five Rebellion hits and struck out four. The win marked her sixth on the year, while Rebellion starter Anna Miller took the loss. Miller gave up three hits and three runs before being relieved by Pennsylvania's Angel Bunner in the fourth.

Gascoigne was aided in the win by teammate Tammy Williams, who belted the go-ahead two-run difference maker in the top of the third. Chicago plated their other two runs of the night off a bases loaded walk in the first and an Alisa Goler sacrifice fly in the fifth.

The Rebellion got on the board in the second, pushing across their only run of the night. First baseman Courtney Liddle led off the inning with a ground rule double and came around to score on catcher Nicole Morgan's RBI groundout. Liddle paced the Rebellion offense with two hits, while Bianca Mejia, Mandy Ogle and Andie Varsho each collected a hit a piece.

The Rebellion seeks redemption tomorrow at 2:05 p.m. in game two of the final home stand of their inaugural season.
