Minnesota returns home Wednesday to face the expansion Atlanta Dream. Wednesday's contest will mark the two teams' second and final meeting of the season. Candice Wiggins scored all of her 22 points in the second half, and Nicky Anosike chipped in 20 points and 12 rebounds as the Lynx outlasted Atlanta, 85-81, on June 3 at Philips Arena. Seimone Augustus finished with 19 points for Minnesota. Betty Lennox topped the Dream with 28 points (including 19 in the fourth quarter) and eight assists, while Jennifer Lacy contributed 16 points. The Lynx are 9-5 all-time vs. first-year opponents, splitting two-game sets with Orlando in 1999 and Chicago in 2006, and going 6-3 against the Class of 2000 (1-0 vs. Indiana, 2-0 vs. Miami, 2-1 vs. Portland, 1-2 vs. Seattle). Atlanta comes into Target Center with a record of 1-17. Atlanta won for the first time in franchise history Saturday July 5, defeating the Chicago Sky 91-84. Wednesday's contest will be broadcasted on NBA TV. Fans can also catch the game on the radio home of the Lynx, BOB FM 106.

YOUTH SPORTS SPECIAL

Kids can wear their favorite jerseys to a Lynx game and receive $5 tickets. Fans can get $10 tickets for only $5 at every Wednesday and Thursday Lynx home game. The next Youth Sports Special night is Wednesday, July 9 when the Lynx take on the Atlanta Dream.

Reserves Taking Leading Role

Minnesota's bench has played a huge role in the Lynx' success this season. Led by Candice Wiggins, Charde Houston and Lindsey Harding, the bench has produced six of the top-seven team point totals off the bench in Lynx history this season. Minnesota's reserves scored a franchise-record 47 points in a 73-71 loss to Chicago last Tuesday at Target Center. Furthermore, the 34.9 ppg averaged by Minnesota's bench ranks first in the WNBA and Candice Wiggins' 17.1 ppg ranks first in the WNBA in point production off the bench.

LYNX LOSE TO STORM

Lauren Jackson scored 16 of her season-high 34 points in the first quarter, and the Seattle Storm rallied from an early deficit to defeat the Minnesota Lynx 96-71 on Saturday night. Minnesota began hot early, opening the game on a 15-2 run before Seattle answered with a 10-2 run of their own to even things at 23 after one. Things remained tight in the second before Seattle edged ahead by five, 47-42 at half. Things turned from bad to worse for the Lynx in the third. Seattle outscored Minnesota 32-13 third and lead by as much as 29 points before coasting to a 25-point, 96-71 win. The loss was Minnesota's fifth straight in Seattle.
